Hostess for the 100th Festival

This is a year of celebration for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® as it observes the 100th Festival in May 2027. With over 50 events and some 2,000 volunteers, Winchester and the surrounding areas create one of the top five festivals in the nation per Time Magazine. Visitors are welcomed from the end of April through the first weekend in May. The origin of Apple Blossom was to showcase the apple industry and tourism in the Shenandoah Valley. Here you find destinations for vacations with breathtaking scenery, caverns, rivers and mountains. These communities want to share with America their beauty, their hospitality and the commitment to making the Valley a very special place. (See www.thebloom.com)

During the Festival, you will be attending many events as the hostess. There you are welcoming folks and our celebrities showing hospitality and celebrating our traditions from over the past 100 years.

Our Miss Apple Blossom Legacy qualifications are:

Ages: 18-25 (Miss)

14-17 (Teen)

No children

Must have been born female

Display high ethics and morals

Requirements:

Pay a $100 registration fee
Each contestant must get one $150 sponsor ad. (After submitting your application, the Festival will send you a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application. This email will include a link to the sponsor advertisement form, which you may provide to your sponsor for completion.)

Duties of Miss Apple Blossom Legacy:

Act as a bridge to Festival memories for visitors
Volunteer service in the tri-county communities
Believe volunteerism is a cornerstone of the community
Serve as the hostess for the 100th Festival, April 23-May 2
